A 1985 graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa and a member of the Bar since 1987, André serves a large client base in the public, broader public and private sectors with a particular focus on health care and post-secondary education. His clients value his strategic input, practical advice and responsiveness.

In addition to managing a substantial grievance arbitration practice in both official languages, André supports his vast client base by providing advice and legal representation in the context of:

1. collective agreement bargaining;
2. preparation of employment contracts, policies and memoranda of understanding;
3. managing risks related to dismissals and reorganizations;
4. defending against wrongful dismissal actions;
5. complaints filed with the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Employment Standards;
6. harassment and discrimination complaints filed with the Human Rights Tribunal;
7. attendance and disability plans; and,
8. procedures for certification, decertification or complaints filed with the Ontario Labour Relations Board.

André is a former school board trustee, vice-president and president of the former Ottawa Catholic Separate School Board and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario (AJEFO), the Regroupement des gens d’affaires (RGA) and the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce.
