Porter received his B.A. from Dalhousie University in 2004, and his LL.B. in 2007. During the course of his LL.B., he was the recipient of a major Law Foundation of Nova Scotia scholarship, as well as several awards. He continued at Dalhousie, completing his LL.M. in Labour Law in 2008 with the support of a graduate scholarship from the Killam Foundation. Porter articled with Emond Harnden in 2008, and joined the firm as an Associate in 2009. He practices in all areas of labour and employment law, with a particular focus on rights arbitration, civil litigation, and privacy law. Porter is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the County of Carleton Law Association and The Advocates’ Society.
