Vicky provides advice and representation to management in all types of grievance and arbitration proceedings and in hearings before both the Ontario Labour Relations Board and the Canadian Industrial Relations Board. She has particular expertise and experience in assisting the full range of health care sector employers with these matters, as well with their human resources, collective bargaining, privacy and policy development needs, supporting both unionized and non unionized settings. Vicky brings a rich and diverse background to her legal practice with Emond Harnden. After a fifteen year career as a Registered Nurse in several Ontario Hospitals specializing in Pediatric Emergency nursing, she moved into the field of Human Resource Management at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa. As a Labour Relations Officer acting on behalf of management, she became experienced in all aspects of collective bargaining, grievance and dispute resolution, human resources policy development and Ontario Labour Relations Board proceedings. Vicky holds a Bachelor of Science ( Nursing) Degree from the University of Ottawa (1997) and an L.L.B. from the University of Ottawa (2002). She articled with the firm in 2002-2003 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2003. Vicky joined Emond Harnden in 2003 and practices in all areas of labour and employment law, with a particular focus on human resource management, health care and professional practice support.
