  • Official languages – Thibodeau v Air Canada – 2019 CF 1102 (french text)
Couple alleged that Air Canada systematically ignored official languages law – four issues: the words “exit” and “warning” on signs in aircraft were larger than their corresponding French translations; the word “lift” on seatbelt buckles did not have a French translation – the French boarding announcement made at the Fredericton Airport was less complete than the English announcement – Court made out violations – ordered $21,000 damages
