Geneviève advises employers in all areas of employment and labour law, as well as in matters involving occupational health and safety and human rights. She offers a broad range of services, including representing employers in disputes as well as drafting legal opinions, employment contracts and policies.
As a member of the Québec Bar and the Ontario Bar, she represents clients in both provinces.
Before joining Emond Harnden in 2018, Geneviève worked in civil and commercial litigation for a national firm in Ottawa. She also worked as a law clerk for the Honourable Judge Luc Martineau of the Federal Court and practised in a boutique litigation firm in the Gatineau region, where she pleaded cases before various courts and tribunals.
Geneviève is a graduate of the University of Ottawa, where she earned her LL.L. and J.D. Magna Cum laude. During her law studies, she worked as a research assistant for the Dean of the Common Law Faculty and completed a semester at the Université de Montpellier. She was also part of the team that won the 2014 Charles Rousseau Moot Court Competition.
Geneviève is proud to be involved in various organizations in the National Capital Region. She is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the County of Carleton Law Association and the Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario.
