Joël graduated cum laude from the French Common Law program at the University of Ottawa. After completing his articles with Emond Harnden, Joël joined the team as an associate.
A member of the Ontario and Manitoba Bars and fully bilingual, Joël works with clients in the areas of labour and employment law, education law, civil litigation, privacy law, human rights law, administrative law and governance. He works primarily with public and para-public sector clients. Joël has represented clients’ interests in labour arbitration and at the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Divisional Court and administrative tribunals.
Joël is a member of the Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario, the County of Carleton Law Association and the Ontario Bar Association where he is a member of the executive law section relating to education.
In his spare time, Joël enjoys learning about wine, playing curling and squash, reading, discovering craft beers and travelling.
