Lauren Jamieson

Associate

Lauren joined Emond Harnden as an Associate after articling and spending two summers with the firm. She practices in all areas of labour and employment law, including privacy, human rights, and dealing with cannabis in the workplace. Lauren also has experience with the unique human resources issues arising in the aviation sector, and is a member of Emond Harnden’s Aviation Practice Group.

Lauren has experience assisting and advising a diverse range of employers, both federally and provincially regulated. She has been involved in collective bargaining, hiring and terminating employees, drafting policies, and litigation preparation for wrongful dismissal actions, human rights matters, and arbitration hearings.

 

Lauren completed her law degree at the University of Ottawa where she graduated Cum Laude and completed an Option in Dispute Resolution and Professionalism. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Law and Legal Studies, with minors in Business and Psychology from Carleton University.

Lauren is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, and the County of Carleton Law Association.
