Originally from Northern Ontario and fully bilingual, Mélissa practices in all areas of labour and employment law, with a special interest in the education, health and municipal sectors.
Since joining the firm in 2010, Mélissa has represented the interests of both public and private sector employers in grievance arbitrations, collective bargaining, labour relations board proceedings, wrongful dismissal and contractual dispute litigation, human rights and harassment complaints filed with the Human Rights Tribunal, complaints filed with the Ontario Ministry of Labour, employment standards and judicial reviews.
She also advises clients with respect to employment contracts, development and implementation of policies, restructuring, attendance management, accommodation and not-for-profit governance obligations. Her clients value her vigour, strategic input and practical advice.
Mélissa provides bilingual workplace training geared towards any level of personnel, from front line staff to the highest level of management.
